Shawn Kosmakos is an independent entrepreneur & hobbyist who loves how interesting the world can be and always believes there is room to go bigger. His work is centered around his film production studio, Prominyo, which Shawn started in 2022, and now runs alongside his friends.
About me
Growing up in the early 2000s, I've always been fascinated by technology and the creative ways people use it to express themselves and solve their problems. Being raised in an environment where that kind of curiosity was actively encouraged, I got to find my passion for filmmaking at a very young age.
At 9 years old, I started training in Songahm Taekwondo with ATA Martial Arts, who I still actively work with to this day as a fully certified instructor through their program. This lifelong journey taught me the confidence & discipline I needed to start up & lead my film production studio, as well as continuing to hone & develop my craft not just in film, but in all aspects of my life.
I would later find myself graduating High School during the Covid-19 pandemic and going into college at a time when the world more than ever needed to find new ways of being creative. I attended Diablo Valley College as well as Recording Radio Film Connection, where I earned a small handful of certificates in film production. I started my production company, Prominyo, in 2022 alongside Blake Killion & Ryan Sagun with the goal of always being creative & ambitious.
